About the Department
The Department of Advanced Industry Fusion was established to cultivate human resources in the field of new industry fusion to play a new role as an economic force in Korea that can enhance corporate and national competitiveness in the wave of globalization and openness.
In particular, the department provides training to produce global leaders with international competitiveness by 1) cultivating international sensitivity, 2) linking the theory and practice of leadership education, and 3) cultivating creative problem-solving skills through convergence and consilience among academic disciplines, in line with the trend of globalization.

Educational Goals
- Cultivating entrepreneurs who can innovatively lead new industry convergence by developing ideas through theoretical and practical training on basic knowledge and case studies in new industry convergence and entrepreneurship cultivation.
- Developing global leaders with top management skills and insight into megatrends through on-the-job training in theories of new industry convergence strategies, technology commercialization, and high-tech trends.
- Providing practical expertise in diagnosing and analyzing various barriers to new industry convergence. Training experts who can guide and advise on new industry convergence in connection with the government's new industry development plan.
- Flexible operation of education and research to meet the needs of the nation and industry, and enabling practice-oriented talents through practical education and case studies of industry-university cooperation in close contact with the field of industry and policy-making.
- Creating new futures and innovations through voluntary team-based experiential learning, such as case development and discussion, field research, and group study in areas of interest, rather than acquiring leadership skills only academically.
- Developing an outplacement program with the support of the companies where the students are employed. Providing customized training for pre-retirees to prepare them for their psychological stability and post-retirement life while reducing the burden on companies for retirees.
