The KU Student Council strives to promote free and creative academic research and holistic personality development through democratic and autonomous student self-government based on the university's founding philosophy, educational philosophy, educational objectives, educational goals, academic rules, and the history and traditions of the founding university. The KU Student Council is a student-run council that acts proactively for KU students without Bias.
It comprises the Student Council, the Central Governance Organization, the Student Council of each college, and the Student Council of each department (Major). Each Student Council organizes events for their units and conducts projects and research activities for students. By gathering various opinions from students on and off campus, the Student Council represents the interests and needs of students through various activities, such as university development and student welfare, and fosters independent and creative individuals.
