Introduction
The Department of Medicine at Konkuk University (KU) has devised an integrated major program for the purpose of building a new system that links treatment, research and education incorporating both basic medicine and clinical science. The integrated major programs comprise Morphology and Physiology, Infection and Immunology, Molecular Genetics and Pathology, Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Neuroscience, Social Medicine, Tumor Biology, Metabolism and Aging, Translational Stem Cell Medicine, Advanced Translational Medicine and Clinical Science. The department aims to foster the very best medical practitioners, producing outstanding postgraduates through the successful running of the 11 majors listed above.
We aim to foster creative biomedical researchers needed for the development of medicine, who are able to absorb a fundamental knowledge of medicine and resolve problems with their own initiative.
