Combining the advantages of Korean university education with special courses for international students

 

In September 2023, the International College opened two major departments, the Department of International Trade and the Department of Culture and Media, and established the International Liberal Arts Education Centre to develop and operate a liberal arts curriculum to cultivate the academic capabilities required for international students, and welcomed the first international students in March 2024.

 

In addition to theoretical lectures, the Department of International Trade and the Department of Culture and Media of the International College offer specialized curricula that combine practical and hands-on learning, such as internship programs and field experience-based training programs, to help international students choose their career paths and prepare for employment. In particular, the CSP career exploration course is offered in the first semester of enrollment to help international students solve various concerns they may have while studying abroad in Korea by meeting and communicating with their advisors and receiving help, and to help them adapt to university life quickly. The International Liberal Arts Education Centre operates a customized liberal arts curriculum for international students who are not familiar with the Korean educational environment. Rather than the existing daily Korean language course, we has developed and operate liberal arts Korean, which develops academic Korean language skills necessary for university major studies such as report writing and assignment presentations, as well as basic liberal arts subjects in three areas: humanities social sciences culture, diversity inclusion, and advanced liberal arts subjects that enable students to acquire basic academic knowledge for university studies.

 

By providing differentiated curricula that allow international students to enjoy the advantages of Korean university education while also providing special curricula for international students to benefit from practical education, the the International College is helping international students to succeed in their studies in Korea, In addition, the International College provides generous support so that they can grow into future talents with both intelligence and humanity, as required in the era of globalization, and global leaders who will play an active role in the international arena. In the future, the International College will develop into the college that provide the best educational services to international students by designing academic programmes tailored to international students and providing one-stop student support administrative services.
