This course aims to cultivate human resources for the new cultural content industry based on the liberal arts. As a new growth engine in the 21st century, the cultural content industry requires planning, production, and marketing professionals in various fields such as movies, exhibitions, animation, games, characters, theme parks, and cultural planning. In response to new academic demands, we provide convergent education centered on the liberal arts, including art and design, digital technology, and marketing. We also aim to foster global cultural human resources in cultural content that encompasses the entire digital society by harmonizing theory and practice through industry-university partnerships.
Since 2006, we have run a 4-year joint major in cultural content, which has been completed by more than 100 students. Since 2008, we have established and run the Department of Digital Culture & Contents in the graduate master's and Ph.D. programs to train experts in the field of cultural content. With the official establishment of the Department of Digital Culture & Contents in 2010, we now have undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. programs. With the strong support of the university, we have created ideal conditions for faculty, curriculum, and industry collaboration to enhance our status as a specialized department.
