A smart vehicle is a future vehicle that operates similarly to human control by being autonomously and intelligently controlled by computers and networks. Smart Vehicle Engineering is an interdisciplinary that combines aeronautics, automotive engineering, computer science, and electronics to develop smart vehicles. Smart vehicles are equipped with processors, sensors, and actuators and receive information for smart maneuvers from artificial intelligence systems and various information networks through wired and wireless communications. Then, big data collected and stored from smart vehicles is analyzed and used for autonomous maneuvers. As drones and unmanned vehicles are vital industries that determine future national competitiveness, there has been intense R&D competition worldwide, resulting in an imperative need to cultivate human resources. The Department of Smart Vehicle Engineering is committed to nurturing practical and creative talents who will lead the smart vehicle industry by combining ICT convergence capabilities.

Educational Goals
We aim to cultivate creative talents with core knowledge of flying vehicles, automobiles, and ICT convergence skills to lead the future drone/unmanned vehicle industry with the following goals.
- 1 Cultivating creative talents to prepare for the future era of intelligent vehicles.
Students will be able to meet future industrial/technological needs and lead advanced academic fields by completing subjects related to transportation and ICT and creatively fusing the two fields. - 2Cultivating practical talents with the ability to work in the convergence industry.
Based on theoretical and experimental courses, students will develop abilities closely related to practical work by manufacturing smart vehicles and carrying out operational tests through design and project courses. Students will also develop the ability to utilize practical knowledge acquired through on-the-job training in industrial enterprises. - 3Fostering global talent with smart transportation expertise.
We run courses linked to graduate schools and expand research participation opportunities for undergraduates to prepare them to become excellent researchers.
