The Department of Contemporary Arts aims to provide cutting-edge professional art education in the context of global contemporary art. Students are educated by distinguished artists, art theorists, and other professors in the critical artistic currents and practices of contemporary art. The courses include painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, art theory, video art and new genres (performance, installation and outdoor work). These courses focus on the production of contemporary visual art and the synthesis of historical and academic inquiry. Students graduate with a deeper understanding of contemporary art.
