Physics is one of the most fundamental and core disciplines in the natural sciences, and its coverage is one of the broadest. Major courses include mechanics, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, relativity, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, modern physics, and mathematical physics. The 2 main branches of the major are solid state physics, which deals with various physical properties of new materials and electronic materials such as superconductors, magnets, and semiconductors, and particle physics, which deals with subatomic physical phenomena such as elementary particles or nuclei.
Physics is the fundamental science of all the natural sciences, including chemistry, biology, earth sciences, astronomy, oceanography, and meteorology. It is also closely related to advanced new materials-related engineering fields such as electronics, information and communication engineering, electrical engineering, radio engineering, materials engineering, and chemical engineering, which have a wide range of industrial applications It also has many applications in medical engineering, diagnostic medicine, and therapeutic medicine, such as X-ray CT imaging, ultrasound diagnosis, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and cancer treatment with radioisotopes. Other advanced technologies and applications include electronics, optics, lasers, semiconductors, superconductors, and magnetic. Knowledge of physics has significantly contributed to the development of high-tech fields such as nanotechnology, information and communication technology, and biotechnology. Therefore, it is increasingly necessary for people who want to play a leading role in these high-tech fields to have experience in physics. In this regard, the Department of Physics aims to provide students with the ability to explain various phenomena in nature using physical principles and laws while also understanding how these physical laws have been applied to various industries.
Students who major in physics at the undergraduate level will be able to develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, intuition, and the ability to conduct experiments related to advanced technology and are expected to be able to work as professionals in the fields of science and technology as well as the social sciences after graduation.

Educational Goals
Our students will acquire knowledge in a wide range of natural sciences that will enable them to pursue studies and research in natural sciences and related engineering disciplines, including physics. They will also be prepared to work as specialized technicians in the industrial application of physics in telecommunications, electrical/electronic, and computer-related companies.
