Konkuk University Foundation Day
Every year, May 15th is the anniversary of the founding of KU. May 15, 1946, is the day when the founder, Dr. Sang-huh Seok-Chang Yoo, established the university. He believed that it was necessary to cultivate leading talents in order for the liberated Korea to build a valid welfare country and not to suffer the same unfortunate fate again. To commemorate the spirit of the university's founding philosophy of "Sincerity, Fidelity, and Righteousness" and to wish for the university's endless development, a commemorative ceremony is held with the participation of students, faculty, staff, and all alumni and guests.
